Black Lives Matter.
WELCOME!
I'm H.C. Sandvold, a Madison-based artist with a BFA from UW Stevens Point in printmaking and graphic design. This website is both a portfolio of my professional and personal art, as well as the front-end to my freelance graphic design & illustration business.
What types of projects do I accept?
I've done logos, print bundles (letterheads, business cards, etc.), digital bundles (social media banners/profile images), form layout, training manuals, collectors' manuals, wedding invites, copy writing, ux mock-ups, and posters.
I've also done story-boarding, book covers, public comic-making work-shops, children's book illustrations, and scientific diagram illustrations.
When I’m not freelancing, I carve woodblocks, which are occasionally featured in shows/for sale, and will be the focus of my upcoming 2021 art residency at Zion National Park.
What makes you different from other designers?
There's no project too big or small. I genuinely love visual communication and being able to give dynamic presence to ideas and ventures I can get behind. I like to talk with my clients to really understand what they're after, and help give their dreams real impact. Therefore, whether you're a brand new start up, or a larger company that needs to outsource a project here and there, drop me a line and we can get started.
process for commissioning:
Email me at hcsandvold@gmail.com and describe who you are, a brief overview of what you want, and when you’re available to discuss it further.
We go over the details and I draft an estimate and contract for the project (outlining price, timeline, number of feedback exchanges, etc.).
If the estimate looks agreeable, I work hard and make you something amazing!
Once adjustments are made and it’s complete, an invoice will be issued.
